A cross forked or double fitchee. Our source document included ‘Cross fourchee ou Kouee’ which is probably the remanent of an error that has been endlessly recopied because no one knew what was originally intended. The error was likely originally found in a French manuscript as: a cross forked or Kouee where Kouee was an unknown word because of a transcription error when copying from an older manuscript. .
