The Royal Hanoverian Guelphic OrderVariants: The Royal Hanoverian Guelphic Order
This Order was instituted by King George IV., when Prince Regent, 12th August 1815, and has not been conferred by the British Crown since the death of William IV., when the British Sovereign ceased to be Monarch of Hanover. The Collar, Star and Badge, is the same for a Civil Knight omitting the swords, which are crossing each other over the Badge. The Ribbon is light blue, watered. Motto Nee aspera terrent. Difficulties do not daunt.
